The Trust will access opportunities in the potentially fast growing region of Asia. Although some economies in the region are currently experiencing difficulty, the population demographics and accompanying infrastructure development will create opportunities for future corporate growth.
The funds will be invested in the Far East Unit Trust which in turn is managed by Royal & Sun Alliance Investment Management Limited, UK.
Corporate Bond Trust (PIE)
This Trust focusses on maximising investor income by investing in interest earning corporate securities offered in New Zealand.
The Trust invests in a range of secured and unsecured fixed interest securities issued by companies, which offer a premium interest rate. The Investment Manager carefully researches each company to asses its financial stability. To minimise risk the Investment Manager will invest with a wide range of companies and will ensure that no more than 15% of the funds held by the Trust are invested with any one company, including related companies.
NZ Fixed Interest Trust (PIE)
This Trust is designed to provide investors with a regular income. At the same time, the Trust seeks to reduce risk by investing in lower-risk fixed interest securities issued by government, semi-government agencies, local authorities, companies and banks.
A combination of short-term and long-term investments will be chosen. The portfolio will contain at least 35% government bonds, with the remainder invested in local authority, semi government, SOE, corporate and bank fixed interest securities.
Socially Responsible Investment Trust (PIE)
This fund offers you the opportunity to gain access to an actively managed New Zealand sharemarket portfolio that embraces the principles of ethical and sustainable business practices.
The portfolio will have around 25 stocks with 80% (by asset value) in New Zealand and 20% (by asset value) in Australia. The investment manager places emphasis on market liquidity, management quality, dominance in their industry, as well as identifying company and sector growth prospects.
